Tutorial: How to create a suspended sideboard

Let’s be honest: you would never have guessed that there were kitchen cabinets hidden behind this small suspended sideboard - designed by Sabine Mérillon. Composed (extremely simply) of four tall Method modules, it looks like it’s floating above the ground. Sabine also added some character here. Firstly, she created wall frames with wooden strips, and secondly by combining our Green 05 - Stone in matte lacquer with a natural oak finishing panel.

A few tips before you get started:

  • Sabine used four Method cabinet frames (40x60cm high, 37cm deep) - which she hung on the wall using a rail you can find at Ikea.

  • To hide the top of the cabinet frames, she chose a contrasting natural oak top panel (163x39cm)

  • This really caught Sabine’s eye (and ours too!) Our Green 05 - Stone is available to buy online in both paint and fronts.
